Behavioural Dog Training Consult

This private consultation is designed for dogs with a mild or single behaviour concern, where owners are seeking clarity, guidance, and practical next steps.

Suitable for concerns such as:

  • Mild pulling on the leash

  • Early reactivity or over-excitement

  • Settling challenges at home

  • Visitor management

  • General training questions, including guidance for young dogs

 

During the consultation, we will:

  • Review your dog’s history, routine, and environment

  • Identify the factors influencing the behaviour

  • Put immediate management strategies in place

  • Introduce simple, achievable training steps you can begin straight away

  • Ensure you leave with a clear understanding of what to work on next

 

Cost: $370
Duration: 2 hours
Location: In-home or local environment (where appropriate)

Follow-Up Support Sessions

 

Some clients choose to book occasional follow-up sessions after their initial consultation to refine skills, troubleshoot challenges, or review progress.

Available options:

  • 1 hour: $180

  • 1.5 hours: $265

 

These sessions work well when concerns are mild and progress is steady.

Important to Know

​​The initial behaviour consultation is not designed for complex or long-standing behaviour challenges that require ongoing skill development and structured coaching.

 

Concerns such as:

  • Moderate to severe leash reactivity

  • Ongoing fear- or anxiety-based behaviours

  • Multiple behaviour challenges occurring together

  • Situations where owners need consistent, hands-on guidance over time

…are best supported through training packages, which allow us to:

  • Build skills progressively for both dog and owner

  • Practise in real environments

  • Adjust the training plan as progress is made

  • Focus on sustainable change rather than short-term fixes

 

If, during a consultation, it becomes clear that a package would be more supportive, I will always explain this openly and help you choose the most appropriate option.
