Service Description

During our 4-week Puppy School, we’ll cover essential life and self-control skills, including: - Strategies to prevent biting and chewing, - Managing alone time, and - Establishing house rules and boundaries. - Mat training. - Dog Recall basics. An added bonus is that the class takes place at Annandale Animal Hospital, so your puppy will get familiar with the vet practice, its smells, and the environment, making future vet visits less stressful. = = = = Only puppies up to 16 weeks of age (4 months) by the class start date can join the Puppy School. If you are looking for a class for an older puppy, you can join our Surviving Adolescence Dog Training Class instead, which still covers some puppy basics and socialisation. Our other training classes - Mastering Manners, Recall and Leash Skills and Scent (Nose) Work for Dogs focus on more advanced training and skill sets utilising more distractions too, and are suitable for all fully vaccinated dogs of all ages. - Puppies older than 16 weeks by the start date of Puppy School classes will not be accepted. - Proof of the dog's age may be required if needed. - No refunds will be issued if a puppy that is too old for Puppy School is booked, as this violates the class conditions, which must be accepted before booking.

Cancellation Policy

Terms and Conditions Use of any of our services assumes that you have read and agree with Speak Dog terms and conditions. An initial questionnaire must be completed prior to any training starting. All dogs must be fully vaccinated and wormed at regular intervals All dogs must be kept on lead until instructed otherwise All dogs must be microchipped, and registration details up to date, with proof available upon request Confidentiality All customer records and information are kept in the strictest of confidence and are not shared with any third party. Any information shared with volunteer assistants or paid employees is strictly on a ‘need to know’ basis. Email addresses will be used for the marketing purposes of Speak Dog. You can remove your name from this list at any time by email response or by request to Speak Dog. Booking / Payment / Cancellation In home consultations & training sessions: No bookings are confirmed until Speak Dog has contacted you ‘the client’ to confirm the booking via phone call, SMS or email. 50% of the consultation fee will be charged to the client for any cancellations made by the client within 24 hours of the arranged consultation unless specified by Speak Dog. Payment for consultations is to be paid in full on the day of completion of the consultation. No refunds are available on the consultation once the consultation has begun and thereafter. Package Bookings Packages purchased through Speak Dog have a 1-year expiry from the date of purchase. These packages are non-transferable to other clients. Refunds will be issued at the discretion of Speak Dog, and any changes to packages must be confirmed in writing. Puppy School/Group Classes No bookings are confirmed until a member of Speak Dog has contacted the client to confirm the booking via phone call, SMS or email. No place in the puppy school is reserved until payment in full has been received for the course. Payments are to be made before the start date of the course. No refunds are available on the course once the course has begun and thereafter. Online Consultations Payment for consultations is to be paid in full upon booking the consultation. Cancellations made by the client within 24 hours will be charged the full amount of the consultation unless specified by Speak Dog. Cancellations made by Speak Dog will be refunded in full. No refunds are available on the consultation once the consultation has begun and thereafter.
