The Benefits of Group Dog Training Classes

Improved Focus

When you choose to train your dog in a group setting, you’ll have the opportunity to really improve their focus around distractions.

Group dog training classes are filled with all sorts of new and exciting sights, sounds, scents, and friends for your dog to investigate. By teaching them to keep their focus on you while this excitement carries on around them, they’ll also learn how to stay focused despite all manner of other distractions. As a result, you’ll be able to better maintain control whenever you and your dog encounter other people or animals, new or interesting environments, high-reward treats or toys, and more.

Collaborative Learning

Another benefit of group training classes is the chance to learn collaboratively with other dog owners who share your goal of wanting a balanced, confident, and well-behaved pup.

By learning together, you’ll be able to share advice, learn from each other’s mistakes, and give each other the encouragement and motivation you need to succeed. From offering clever suggestions and asking insightful questions to simply sharing a relatable dog-owner story that makes you feel seen, your peers can be a wonderful asset when training your dog.

Your dog’s nose plays a crucial role in how they perceive and understand the world. From assessing their surroundings and identifying others near and far to communicating with other dogs and even picking up on our emotions, they really can sniff out anything.

Our Intro to Nose Work and Intro to Odour classes teach dogs the art of scent detection. By encouraging your dog to use their nose to play games, solve puzzles, and receive rewards, you’ll give them a chance to utilise their most powerful sense in a whole new way!

These group classes are available to a maximum of 5 dogs per group.

In this 5-week course, we’ll focus on:

  • Introducing your dog to scent detection

  • Teaching techniques for your dog to identify and alert when they find the treat.

  • Building your dog’s confidence and mental stimulation.

  • Strengthening the bond between you and your dog through teamwork

  • Suitable for Dogs Older Than 6 Months, Including Anxious or Reactive Dogs
